The Formal Place highly suggests you come in to be properly measured and try on gowns before you make your decision to purchase. If you decide to order and are unable to come in you can place
orders or make payments over the phone. To insure a more accurate inventory system, The Formal Place does not take orders via email or our website.
Merchandise
Photos of merchandise may not represent material, color, or fit accurately due to lighting and other factors. Actual color and details may be different from manufacturer photos. It
is always best to visit The Formal Place in person to see better representations of merchandise from various manufacturers.
Pricing
The Formal Place is not responsible for pricing inaccuracies on other sites and publications for merchandise we carry. Unless directly expressed, all sales and sale prices apply only to
merchandise in stock at The Formal Place.
Sizing
Dresses are sized according to Bust, Waist, and Hip measurements. All companies create a predetermined size chart. This means that you must order the largest size required by your
measurements. Some alterations may be needed due to variations in your measurements to the size chart. These alterations are the customer’s responsibility. Custom sizing is offered by select designers and cost
extra.
Payment
Payments can be made by money order or credit card via phone. All special orders are subject to an additional $10 fee. Special orders requires half down on the total of the purchase
price. Stock purchases made over the phone must be paid in full.
Lead Time
Lead time varies from manufacturer to manufacturer. This means you must contact The Formal Place to find how long your gown will take to arrive. Some gowns are made in mass and can be
shipped the date of order, others have to be specially made and can take weeks or even months.
Shipping
Designers will not ship directly to customers. Therefore, if you are unable to pick up your gown at The Formal Place, there will be an added shipping fee for the item to be sent to
your home. Allow an extra week shipping transit time from The Formal Place to your home. o further protect our customers we have implemented a new policy that the billing and shipping address must match. Most gowns
in stock at the manufacture take 4-7 business days to arrive at The Formal Place. If you need the gown shipped to your home allow 10-15 business days for your gown to arrive. Expedited shipping is available at an
additional cost. Shipping transit times are estimates and we can not guarantee any delivery date. If for any reason your item does not arrive by your wear date we will issue a full refund upon return of the unused
item in its original packaging.
Cancellation, Returns, and Exchanges
Once an order has been placed with the manufacturer it can not be canceled. In the rare occasion that we are able to cancel an order, you will be charged a
cancellation fee and any remaining money paid will be given as a store credit. The Formal Place strives for accurate information in all its prices and product information. However, some errors may occur and The
Formal Place holds the right to cancel or refuse any order or purchase.
The Formal Place does not offer returns or exchanges. All sales are final. The only exception allowed is due to manufacturer defects. Manufacturer defects do not include sizing issues and we inspect all gowns prior
to any sale or shipment. Any defects must be reported within forty-eight hours from delivery time.
Bridal Parties
If for any reason you must cancel your party order prior to completion, there will be a $20 fee per attendant who has paid their down payment. If the order has already been
placed regular order procedures apply.

The use of images, names, and products on this website does not suggest any manufacturer directly endorses this website. The Formal Place holds to right to refuse
or cancel any transaction at our discretion. Our policies, pricing, and procedures are subject to change as we deem necessary based on our business needs.
